White wine sangria or summer peach and berries? Pick your flavor and enjoy a homemade frozen treat.

Here's a fun way for both adults and kids to cool down on those warm summer days. These summer paletas blend seasonal fruits like strawberries and peaches to create a frozen treat. For the adults, we present a summer sangria in frozen form, which trust us, is as delicious and refreshing as it sounds! The kids will have to settle for creamy peaches and berries paletas, which really isn't a bad consolation prize.

You can make the spiked and virgin paletas all in one batch. Just be sure to know which is which! Homemade popsicles or paletas are a great way to experiment with fruits, yogurt and liquors (for adults). The options are virtually limitless, and it's a nice change from a summer smoothie (although we've got those too).

In case these fresh fruits are hard to come by in your neighborhood, we made one version with frozen strawberries and blueberries, which are available at most local supermarkets. You can substitute any fruit you like and have fun with it... and even get the kids to help. Also, if you want to cut down on the sugar, try using agave syrup instead. It gives the paletas a distinct flavor that we happen to love.
