Stuffed chicken breast is an easy way to turn a basic chicken into a gourmet meal - and it can be made with just a few simple ingredients.
We've chosen turkey ham and mozzarella cheese for the stuffing, but feel free to experiment with your favorite ingredients and flavors - the creamy cilantro sauce goes well with just about anything!
Ingredients
- Pollo relleno
- 6 chicken breasts flattened
- 6 slices mozzarella cheese
- 6 slices turkey ham
- salt and black pepper to taste
- Creamy cilantro sauce
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper to taste
- salt to taste
- 2 cups Mexican crema
- 1 tablespoon garlic minced
- 1 package (8 ounce) cream cheese softened
- 1 cup cilantro leaves

Directions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 400º F.
- Lay your chicken breasts on a flat surface. On one side, place 2 slices of ham, a slice of cheese, and salt and pepper to taste. Roll up and secure with a toothpick.
- Repeat this process until all of the chicken breasts are assembled. Reserve.
Creamy Cilantro Sauce
- Combine cream cheese, salt, pepper, garlic, cilantro and crema in a blender and mix until smooth and creamy.
- Place the chicken breasts on a baking dish, cover with cilantro sauce and aluminum foil, and bake for 20 minutes.
- Serve with a side of white rice.
