I grew up enjoying fresh fruits seasoned with lime juice, chile powder and salt. My favorite was always the jicama slices. It's slightly sweet and has a very crisp texture, almost like a potato. It is mostly eaten raw, rarely cooked and takes on the flavors of any foods it is combined with. It's great on it's own or add it to your favorite salsas and salads.
