Made with fresh summer berries, lime juice, tequila, orange liqueur, and a splash of sparkling water, this bubbly margarita is sure to became your go-to cocktail this summer. During the summer fresh berries are in abundance and what better way to take advantage of those sweet blueberries, raspberries and strawberries than with a vibrant margarita perfect for hot summer nights?
1/4cup fresh blueberries
1/4cup fresh raspberries
1/4 fresh lime juice
1/4 tequila (añejo or reposado)
1/4 orange liqueur (Grand Marnier, Cointreau, or Licor 43)
Spread a thin layer of salt on a saucer. Moisten the rim of two chilled glasses with a lime wedge. Dip the moistened rims in salt. Fill glasses with ice.
Puree the blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, lime juice, tequila, orange liqueur, and granulated sugar in a blender until smooth. Strain mixture into glasses, if desired. Top off with a splash of sparkling water to fill glass. For added texture, do not strain the mixed berry mixture.
