
Here's how to pull together the perfect grilled shrimp tacos!
The combination of these grilled shrimp tacos' lime juice and the coolness of the zesty sauce is the perfect summer jumble. Why not make them on a weekend barbecue? It's a fun recipe for the grill!
Ingredients
- For the Grilled Shrimp Tacos
- 16 large shrimp shelled and deveined
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cilantro chopped
- 4 wooden skewers soaked in water
- tortillas Taco-sized
- 1 cup lettuce shredded
- wedges lemon for garnish
- slices avocadoes for garnish
- For the Zesty Cream Sauce
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 1/4 cup Sour cream
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon spicy barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons lemon or lime juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon or lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon sweet paprika or smoked, optional
- Pinch cayenne pepper
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste

Directions
Shrimp Tacos
- Soak skewers in water. Prepare the zesty cream sauce and refrigerate. Prepare marinade for shrimp.
- In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, chili powder, garlic, lime juice, salt and pepper and cilantro. Skewer the shrimp (4 to a skewer) and brush with marinade.
- Heat grill or skillet. Place shrimp on grill or in skillet at medium high and cook until golden brown on each side, about 1½ minutes per side. Remove the shrimp from the skewers.
- Slather zesty cream sauce on tortilla. Fold over. Add lettuce, shrimp and more sauce for topping. Serve with lemon wedge and avocado slices.
Zesty Sauce
- Mix together ingredients and refrigerate until ready to serve.
