In the Latino tradition, nothing brings households together more than family barbecues on Sundays. However, as the years go by, we sometimes feel the need to change how we prepare our meat.
That's why we bring you Chef James' grilled steak with coffee and cilantro lime sauce!
You heard it: coffee, lime, and cilantro. These flavors, while unexpected, stand out thanks to Mazola®Corn Oil, which is delicious and easy to use and will give your recipe a unique twist. With its neutral flavor, Mazola®Corn Oil is the perfect ingredient for our grilled meats.
For the rub, mix all the spices together in a bowl. Set aside.
Drench the steaks in the Mazola® Corn Oil for a quick marinade, and then add the rub mix to the oiled steaks, making sure all the surface of the steak is covered.
Warm up the grill. Add the steaks and sear on the outside. Once seared, place in a sheet pan and place in a preheated 375-degree oven for 25 minutes for medium-rare, or finish on lower heat over the same grill.
For the relish, mix all ingredients in a bowl and let sit for 1 hour. Serve relish over the steaks.
