Easy to make cookies with an unexpected ingredient - cream cheese!

These sweet and savory galletas de queso cookies are made from cream cheese and are super easy to make. Once tasted you'll find them truly addicting. Sprinkle a bit of extra sugar over the batch of cookies for that some extra, or leave them as is. You may also pair with dulce de leche or jam. I like to have them as is with a cafe con leche on the side.

  1. Cream together the butter, cream cheese, vanilla and a pinch of salt in a mixer.
  2. Slowly add flour.
  3. Wrap dough in aluminum foil and refrigerate for 30 minutes. After it has been refrigerated, preheat the oven to 350F. Extend dough with a rolling pin on a flour sprinkled surface so it doesn't stick.
  4. Make your desired cookie shapes, and sprinkle each cookie with sugar.
  5. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes.
