A delicious turkey recipe that goes perfectly well with yellow rice.

This dish is typical in both Cuba and Puerto Rico. There are as many variations as there are Fricase de Pavo cooks – but this one from a Cuban abuela, so we will call this fricase de pavo a la cubana!

  1. Sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic until the onion is translucent.
  1. Season the turkey with cumin and garlic powder.
  2. Add turkey into the slow cooker or pressure cooker along with the rest of the ingredients.
  3. In the slow cooker, cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 5 hours. In the pressure cooker, cook on high pressure for 35 minutes.
  4. Serve over white or yellow rice.
