Cuban Black Beans & Rice

  • 1 can Frijoles Cubanos BUSH’S Cocina Latina
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 cups long-grain rice cooked
  • salt to taste

  1. Heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add cumin, bay leaf, and garlic. Cook for 1 minute, stirring.
  2. Add the can of beans (undrained), and 1/2 can of water.
  3. Stir and wait until it begins to boil gently.
  4. Add 3 cups rice and stir well. Let warm up. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt.
  5. Serve hot.
