  • 8 ounces fresh shrimp
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ cup cream cheese
  • 2 jalapeños seeds removed and halved down the middle
  • 4 slices bacon
  • chili powder for garnish
  • lemon juice for garnish
Who doesn't love bacon wrapped shrimp? These two foods are a match made in heaven... especially when you combine them with jalapeños for a delicious party food!

These bacon wrapped shrimp jalapeño poppers are the ultimate quick and easy appetizer or party food. One bite and you get the delicious combination of the heat of the chile, crispiness of the bacon and cool balance of the cream good!

I also added sautéed shrimp to the mix, which kicked my poppers up to a whole new level. Simply combine the shrimp with the cream cheese for a tasty filling for your popper. Wrap it all up in bacon (because just about anything wrapped in bacon tastes good) and you've got an easy appetizer full of flavor and texture.

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Season shrimp with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until all of the shrimp turn pink, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Remove from pan and let shrimp cool for 5 minutes.
  5. Add cream cheese to the shrimp and stir until incorporated.
  6. Fill jalapeños with a spoonful of shrimp mixture.
  7. Wrap each jalapeño popper in bacon.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
  9. Drizzle with lemon juice and chili powder.
