My name is Santiago Osuna. I was born in Ottawa, Canada but my whole family is native to Mexico. Currently I’m a 15-year-old sophomore at Doral Academy Charter High. I’ve loved the culinary arts from a young age. So far, I’ve worked at a restaurant called “Divieto Italian American Fusion,” and have interned at two restaurants in Mexico: “Amaranta,” one of the top 15 best restaurants in Latin America and “La Casa del Pastor.”
I also attended la “Escuela de Gastronomía Mexicana” a prestige culinary school in Mexico City. Once a week I go to a homeless shelter named “Camillus House” in Downtown Miami and help prepare meals for those in need. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, riding bike, learning history and practicing Karate, which I have been involved with for the past 11 years.
