Hola! I’m Cathy! I was born on the small but beautiful island of Puerto Rico and raised in New York. I’m a mother who is passionate about the ocean, scuba diving, COOKING and good wine.
I have enjoyed cooking my whole life. My interest in cooking was initially influenced by my mother who is an amazing cook. From a very young age she taught me and insured that I learned how to cook. I’m so grateful to her for that. The older I got, the more I enjoyed cooking. I really enjoyed experimenting in the kitchen with a variety of spices, new cultural foods and creating my own recipes. At one point, I even considered going to culinary school.
However, because of my love of the ocean, I majored in Marine Biology. I also took some cooking classes and continued growing my love and affection for cooking. I then went on to also major in Business Management and during this time I also trained with a Navy Seal for my Scuba Instructor Certification . In my early 20’s, I had a scuba diving accident that left me stranded alone at sea while on vacation in Cozumel, Mexico. This experience thankfully never stopped my love for the ocean or diving and to this day, I love to scuba dive.

You will find everything from appetizers, meals, breads, soups, stews, dips, salsas and drinks from Cuba, Puerto Rico, South America, Spain and of course Mexico.
