Red Delicious

A variety that first appeared in Iowa, the Red Delicious’ intense red color and large size make it stand out among other apples. As its name says, it is delicious. Its acid touch makes it unique, but not so strong as to use it cooked in dishes as it would lose its flavor. It is ideal for eating it in sauces, purees, alone, or in salads like this typical Mexican Christmas salad.
