Looking for another way to enjoy some creamy avocados? This avocado jalapeño cheese dip is tasty and so easy to prepare! Prepare some for your next gathering.

I am always looking for new ways to incorporate avocado into my recipes. This recipe for avocado jalapeño cheese dip is so easy to prepare! When preparing a cheese dip, I always start with cream cheese and a sharp cheddar. Then comes the creamy avocado! Some added jalapeño, cilantro, green onion and lime will add the flavors of fresh guacamole. Place the cheese dip in a nice bowl surrounded with your favorite fresh vegetables. It makes a great dip for tortilla chips as well!

Directions

  1. In the blender or food processor, add 1½ of the avocado, 1½ of the jalapeño, cream cheese, sour cream, green onions, lime juice, pepper and salt to taste. Blend or process on high until smooth and creamy. Reserve the remaining avocado and jalapeño.
  2. If you are having a hard time blending, add a little cold water while the blender is on. Transfer to serving dish. Fold in the shredded cheese. Garnish with remaining avocado and diced jalapeño. Serve with vegetables, chips, crackers or toasted crostini bread. If you are having a hard time blending, add a little cold water while the blender is on. Transfer to serving dish. Chef Notes

Dips, sauces or salsas prepared using fresh avocados are always best served that same day. If you must prepare it the day ahead, place a layer of plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the dip. This will keep the air out and prevent the avocado from turning brown.
